[Felix glances up at Dimitri for just a second, before he looks away again even as he's shifting his hand to lace their fingers together more firmly.]

Maybe I do. ...thank you.

[Carefully, aware of the height difference, Dimitri leans against Felix's side.]

So if not sparring in our usual way for the time being, how do you want to spend our morning?

[Felix almost suggests training their Pokemon instead, but stops himself. They're all so busy lately that there hasn't been as much opportunity as he'd like to just spend time together with nothing in particular to do.

...which is a bizarre thing for Felix to lament, but Johto really has made him soft, he thinks. Because now he actually looks forward to spending free time with other people, and not just on the training grounds.

So the fact that Dimitri still wants to spend the morning with him even though they won't be sparring makes him feel sort of warm and fuzzy. The things this man does to him...]

I don't know. I'm...not good at deciding what to do with free time. You choose.

[Honestly, Dimitri is also expecting Felix to suggest training their Pokemon together instead... but when he actually opts for some simple spare time to be spent together?]

[He stares, just for a second, and then his expression blossoms into a gentle and fond smile.]

Do you think that the garland would be able to stay in place if we went ice skating...?

[Blackthorn seems famous for its slopes and mines, thanks to its proximity to the Ice Path... but even with the Ice Path as it is, there isn't really a lot of snow on the ground nearby, let alone ice. But human ingenuity has skating rinks here, and he knows that for a fact.]

[Felix glances up at Dimitri, momentarily surprised.]

After I spent the whole winter dragging you all out onto the ice, now you just suggest it out of the blue?

[But the corners of his lips curl up into a little smile.]

It should be fine as long as we don't do anything too strenuous.

[Fortunately, since he knew they would be coming to a place more like Faerghus in its climate, Felix did bring his skates just in case. Sure, he could have just rented a pair, but why would he want to do that?]

Come on.

[Felix tugs Dimitri by the hand toward the town center, then stuffs both their clasped hands together into Dimitri's jacket pocket.]

Is there a problem with me suggesting it out of the blue?

[Dimitri smiles, happy to let Felix shove their linked hands into his jacket. This feels... Nice. He's glad that it's just a bit cooler in the mornings, up this high and in a place like Blackthorn, where the breeze carries the chill from the Ice Path. He can only have this kind of thing happen while he's wearing a jacket.]

Do you want to go stop by the hotel, then? I suppose we should...

We should.

[It's not far from their impromptu training ground back to the hotel, and once there, Felix stops to pick up not one, but two things: his skates, and his gym bag with a certain Pokeball in it.

He also pauses for just a minute to look in the mirror, to see the garland. He barely recognizes himself, wearing such a thing, with the little smile that happens when he sees it. He's reminded of seeing himself in the wedding photos, too, and thinking he looked so unfamiliar. He doesn't really know how to feel about...well, feeling happy? It sounds ridiculous when he puts it like that...ugh, whatever.

Once he's finished with that nonsense, he goes out to meet Dimitri in the hall again.]

[Dropping by the inn works to Dimitri's advantage too, since he can grab his own skates. Even if there hadn't been something in town, then there was still the Ice Path nearby to p lay around in. He doesn't quite mind it, honestly... Although that probably says something about where he grew up and the five years he spent living on his own, quite honestly.]

[When Felix comes back out, Dimitri offers him his hand again with a smile.]

We won't be able to do any of the more flashy skating, if we want to keep the garland on.

[Felix takes the hand readily, even if he doesn't acknowledge having done so at all.]

Mm. There is one spin I'll need to do, but it won't work until the sun goes down. So that's all right.

[He tugs on Dimitri's hand as he heads back down the stairs.]

[Well, if Felix wants to drag him around, Dimitri is more than fine with that. They're both going in the same direction in the end anyway. There's no harm to it.]

[And he's more interested in what Felix is implying as well, blinking at his lover's hair.]

It won't work until the sun down? I can't recall a spin like that.

[Felix makes a noncommittal sort of noise.]

It's for Lysithea's Milcery. It requires a certain kind of spinning and Pokemon confections to evolve. Lysithea was apparently waiting for it to decide on which flavor it wanted, so...the Milcery and I made a decision."

He shrugs, like this is all totally normal and no big deal.
